Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 2026-10-01 · Last reviewed 2026-09-21

This policy sets the rules for using the Internet, telephone, television and security services of Greenfield Communications, Inc. ("Greenfield", "we"). By using a Greenfield service you agree to it. Where a homeowners' association or property owner has contracted with Greenfield for a community, that agreement governs price and term, and this policy applies to every resident who uses the service there.

1. Lawful use: Use the service only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights (including copyright), or to send unsolicited bulk email.

2. Do not harm the network or other people: Do not attack, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network; do not distribute malware; do not interfere with the service of other customers or with Greenfield's network; do not misrepresent who you are in traffic you send.

3. Your connection and your devices: You are responsible for all use of your connection, including by anyone you allow to use it, and for the security of your own devices and Wi-Fi. If your equipment is compromised and used against the network or others, we may suspend the connection until it is fixed, and we will tell you.

4. Equipment: The optical network terminal (ONT) that terminates the fiber at your premises belongs to Greenfield. Do not open, move, or tamper with it, and return it, and any router leased from us, when service ends. Charges for unreturned equipment may apply; where they do, they are listed on your community's page.

5. Security blocking and servers: For security we block network services that attackers are abusing at the time, for example to stop compromised equipment from sending spam or hosting fraudulent websites. The current list is available from support, and you may ask us to lift a block for your own connection at no charge. Beyond that, you may run whatever services you like on your connection consistent with this policy. Our Network Management Practices page describes this in full.

6. Service, prices and term: Service billed to you directly by Greenfield is month to month, with no term contract, no early termination fee, and no data caps. Where your homeowners' association or property owner has contracted with Greenfield for your community, the service is part of that agreement and is billed through the association; its term and price are set by that agreement, not by you individually. In some Texas communities the base Internet, television and security services are provided through the community's Public Improvement District, and the district's monthly charge for them is billed by Greenfield on the district's behalf; that charge is set by the district, not by Greenfield, and appears on a separate account together with any add-on services you order from us. Prices for directly billed service are listed on the page for your community. Plan speeds are maximums; the typical speeds and latency for each plan are on its Broadband Facts label. We work to keep the service running at all times but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and brief interruptions for maintenance may occur; we schedule planned maintenance at times of low use.

7. If this policy is broken: We may suspend or end service for a violation of this policy. Where practical we will contact you first and give you a chance to put it right; for attacks, illegal activity, or anything that endangers the network or other customers we may act immediately. We cooperate with law enforcement when presented with valid legal process.

8. Privacy and network practices: How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. How we manage the network is described in our Network Management Practices.

9. Liability: The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, Greenfield is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the service or its interruption, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the charges you paid for the affected service in the three months before the claim arose.

10. Changes and contact: We may change this policy; the current version is always at this address with its effective date. Questions go to support at (888) 230-0020 or abuse@egreenfield.com.
